Sending a Mail

Northeast Regional Office allows inmates to write to family and friends. Inmates are permitted to receive and subscribe to specified publications as long as they won't be a threat to the institution's security.

Offenders may only receive release clothing and authorized medical necessities. They are allowed to receive magazines, hard and paperback books from publishers directly.

Phone Calls

Inmates are allowed to make outbound calls during approved hours. They pay for them with money on their accounts or call collect. The Northeast Regional Office records and monitors all phone calls. Calls take a maximum of 15 minutes.

Visiting Rules

Northeast Regional Office allows inmates to receive visitors on Sunday, Monday, Friday, Saturday, and federal holidays. On these days visiting will run between 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM.

Physical contact between inmate and visitor is not permitted unless at the beginning and end of the visit. Visits to hospitalized inmates must be requested and approved first. They are supervised by a staff member and last a maximum of 1 hour.
