Inmate Search

By merely clicking Inmates on the website, search by his registration number, or name, you locate the inmate’s whereabouts.

FPC Bryan has an online locater system. BOP records contain information about federal inmates released after1982. Users seeking such information are encouraged to direct their inquiries to NARA. To determine whether the information is available, provide the following in the request:

  • Inmate name (including middle name/initial),

  • Date of birth or approximate age at the time of incarceration,

  • Race, and

  • Approximate dates in prison.

Sending a Mail

Inmates are encouraged to write to family, friends, and other community contacts to maintain these ties during incarceration. Written correspondence is either general or special mail. Inmates may receive certain commercial publications from the community. The FPC Bryan permits them to subscribe to or receive publications without prior approval as long as the incoming publication does not breach the facility’s policies.

Inmates can only receive packages (release clothing and authorized medical devices) from home with prior written approval from the inmate's unit team or trusted staff member.

Sending Money

The FPC Bryan uses three funding methods:

  • Money Gram (electronically)

  • Western Union(electronically)

  • United States Postal Service (mail)

Money received is deposited in the inmates’ commissary accounts.

Phone Calls

Phone calls help inmates maintain ties with their families and other community contacts. To ensure they do not use phones for inappropriate purposes, third-party and other alternative call arrangements are not permitted.

The inmate at the FPC Bryan pays for the calls, but in some cases, the receiving party pays.

Visiting Rules

An inmate gets at least four hours of visiting time per month, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, and most have them at other times during the week, but usually, the prison can provide more. However, the Warden can restrict the length of visits or the number of people who can visit at once to avoid overcrowding in the FPC Bryan visiting room.

Inappropriate clothing can result in being denied visitation. You can only visit an inmate if they have placed you on their visiting list, and you are cleared by the FPC Bryan.
